Bendigo Ford Fun Run donates $40,000 to Bendigo Health in 2023

Drumroll please … because the numbers are IN for the 2023 Bendigo Ford Fun Run:

  • 1,426 participant (Up 421 from last year)

  • 75 teams were created (New for 2023)

  • A successful Business Challenge, presented by TSFN Real Estate awarded three NEW prizes to our Largest Business Group, Fastest Business Group and a ‘Community Spirit’ Award.

  • All involving over 100 volunteers and numerous community groups who generously donated their time.

  • $40,000 raised for Bendigo Health

Event organisers – Geoff O’Sullivan and Nigel Preston – held a “fundraising reveal event” at Red Energy Arena on March 23rd to thank the event sponsors and to announce a $40,000 donation to the Bendigo Health Fundraising & Foundation.

Proceeds from the 2023 Bendigo Ford Fun Run will help fund a fully accessible outdoor playground at Bendigo Health for paediatric patients to use during their rehabilitation sessions and to be publicly available whenever they just want to play.

“We feel this is a fantastic result in our second year delivering the event, after we raised $25,000 in year one (2022),” Run Director, Nigel Preston shared.

A huge result and a huge thank you to all who sponsored, ran, walked, volunteered or cheered to make this event the success it was.

Onwards now to our fantastic next edition, scheduled for Sunday 3 March 2024.
